...THE BIBLE SHOWS US THE WAY
While many may tell you that the bible is complicated and impossible to understand, the truth is that it is very easy to comprehend if you will only commit to the study of God's word. The most important study that anyone who wishes to enter the kingdom of heaven can have is the first study God's plan of salvation. This answers the very simple question "What must I do to be saved?"
HEAR the Words of God: Acts 15:7; Romans 10:17, Acts 10:33 & Revelation 1:3
BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of God: John 3:16, Mark 16:15, 16; Hebrews 11:6 & John 12:42
CONFESS that Jesus Christ is the Son of God: Matthew 10:32, 33; Romans 10:9-10, Acts 8:37 & Philippians 2:9-11
REPENT of Your Sins: Acts 2:37, Acts 17:30, Acts 22:16 & Luke 13:3
BE BAPTIZED for the Forgiveness of your Sins: Acts 2:38, Acts 22:16, Romans 6:3-5, 1 Peter 3:21
BE FAITHFUL Until Death: Luke 6:46, Hebrews 10:25 & Matthew 7:21
...ALL WILL SEE ETERNITY (Matthew 25:31-46)
We believe that there is a heaven and a hell, and that Jesus will return again to judge the living and the dead. All of the dead will be resurrected, and those in Christ will put on incorruptible, spiritual bodies and live eternally with God, reigning with God and Christ in the new heaven and new earth.
...WE MUST FIND SALVATION TO ENTER HEAVEN (John 14:6; Romans 14:12)
We believe that God so loved the world that he sent his Son to die for us. Through his death and resurrection, Christ defeated sin and death, making our salvation possible. This salvation is by grace (the free gift of God) and is received through faith (trust) and obedience in Christ Jesus. While we are all born good, each of us reaches an age where we knowingly sin (violate God's will), separating us from God and each other. Thus, we need a Savior!
...IN FAITH (Romans 10:17; Ephesians 2:8, 9)
We believe faith is expressed in believing that God raised Jesus from the dead and confessing that Jesus is Lord. Faith is also expressed in repenting of our sins and being baptized (immersed) into Christ's name. In this trusting act of baptism, we receive forgiveness of sins and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
...IN ONE GOD (Ephesians 4:4-6)
There is but one God who has revealed himself in three persons - the Father (our Creator), the Son of God (Jesus, our Savior), and the Holy Spirit (our Guide).
...IN THE CHURCH (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 3:10; Colossians 1:18)
We believe that when a person is saved, God adds him or her into the church (Acts 2:41) and he or she becomes a part of Christ's body. We invite all to accept God's offer of salvation and become a member of his church.
Starting Sunday June 7th we will begin meeting again in person. We are also live streaming our worship service on our Facebook page as well: Mid Valley church of Christ.
We ask that any who attend please wear a mask. If you do not have one, we can provide one for you.
To inquire about any of our worship services, feel free to call us, email us, or join us for any of the times listed above!
For the present time we have postponed all of our in person Bible studies because of the pandemic. We hope to start again in August.
However we are providing two online Bible studies:
Sunday evening starting at 5 PM MDT on our Facebook page when we are studying angels. We are exploring what the Bible says about angels, comparing it with what culture teaches and believes about angels.
Wednesday evening starting at 7 PM MDT on our Facebook page. We are engaged in a study of "I'm Glad You Asked." We are exploring questions Christians and non-believers have concerning the Bible.
In addition to group formal worship and Bible studies, we believe that every day is a day to give thanks to Jesus! We arrange fellowship opportunities throughout the year. Check our event schedule for upcoming fellowship events!
